What is EN10204-3.2 certification ? and what is EN10204-3.1 certification stainless steel tube ?
Our stainless steel products, such as TP304 stainless steel seamless pipe, TP316L welded stainless steel pipe, 904L ss flange, 310S stainless steel pipe fittings, 347h seamless stainless steel pipe and other stainless steel piping products, often encounter some customers who require en10204-3.2 certification, en10204-3.2 certification and en10204-3.1 certification, also known as material test certificate. This certification is for the material certification of steel, hardware, valves, nickel alloy, pipes, flanges, pipe fittings and other metal materials.
EN10204 3.2 certification (by a third party):
The issuing authority must be an EU authorized authority. After conducting relevant tests on the types of products purchased by the buyer of the factory, declare to the buyer of the factory as a third party that the inspection results are consistent with the order. And sign and seal on the factory material test certificate
En10204-3.2 certificate is a valid certificate to prove to customers that their products comply with European material specifications. Generally, for exported large-scale equipment, pressure equipment and other products, their raw material suppliers need to provide en10204-3.2 certificate to prove that the raw materials used on the equipment comply with European specifications. En10204 certificate is applicable to any metal material, such as stainless steel pipe, stainless steel pipe fitting, stainless steel flange, stainless steel round bar, stainless steel plate, stainless steel, stainless steel weldment and other products.
EN10204 3.1 certification (made by stainless steel manufacturer):
If a metal material factory has passed the ISO 9001 certificate issued by the certification authority authorized by the European Union and the metal material meets the European material specification, the factory can issue en10204-3.1 material certificate to its customers.
The metal material factory, as the seller, issues the material certificate to the buyer. The certificate must reflect the customer name of the factory, that is, there is a clear buyer. A buyer needs a certificate.
If the metal material factory fails to pass ISO9001 or the metal material does not meet the European material specification, the factory has no right to issue en10204-3.1 certificate and must apply for en10204-3.2 certificate from a third-party certification authority.
Scope of application of certificate:
1.1 all metal products provided to the demander according to the contract requirements (for example, plates, rods, forgings, castings, stainless steel pipes, flanges and pipe fittings produced by any method).
1.2 this standard is also applicable to non-metallic products.
1.3 this standard is used together with the product standard that specifies the technical delivery conditions. (point 4.3 in Appendix I of PED directive) * the customer specifies to issue 3.2 Certificate in Po

Stainless steel piping ( pipe , fitting, flange ) EN 10204-3.2 main inspection contents of the third party (some items can be customized)
1) Visual inspection, random sampling, at least 5%;
2) Key dimension inspection, random sampling inspection, at least 5% (when there are dimension requirements in product standards and drawings).
3) Witness sampling and record product identification (including identification samples, such as bv steel seal identification samples);
4) Witness physical property test (100% by batch number);
5) 5.1 witness chemical composition inspection (100% by heat number);
5.2 witness the chemical composition inspection of each specification and hand-held spectral analysis (excluding carbon content);
6) Witness NDT test, random sampling, at least 5% (when applicable);
7) Witness hydrostatic test, random sampling, at least 5% (when applicable);
8) Data review, usually including physical and chemical performance report, heat treatment report and curve, NDT report, dimensional inspection report, MTC, etc;
